At Brighton Village Apartments, located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, our client was looking to install two dual-port EV chargers to meet the growing resident demand for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The property faced a challenge due to insufficient onsite power, and there was not enough capacity to support the charging stations. To address this, Lightility coordinated with Pepco utility to upgrade the site’s electrical system, ensuring it could handle the increased load required for the new chargers. Lightility secured $19,000 in grant funding from the Montgomery County Green Bank and the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA), to cover the costs of the additional infrastructure required. This project highlights Lightility’s ability to navigate power constraints while utilizing available rebates, grants and incentives to deliver cost-effective, sustainable EV charging solutions for property owners.
